I have forgotten both the email and password for my Spotify account, although I know the username and I am signed into the Spotify app on my mobile phone. I have made a new spotify account and made note of  the email and password, but would like to cancel the premium subscription for my old account as it is now no longer in use. How do I cancel the subscription if I cannot sign in due to lack of email and password?

Welcome to the Spotify community!

 

To recover the email associated with your account, I would recommend that you type your username into the password reset form. You'll receive a message saying that Spotify has sent you an email to reset your password. Look through all of your email addresses (including spam and junk folders) for this password reset email. The email which received this is the email associated with your account. Next, click the link provided in the email to reset your password.

 

Once you have recovered your email and password, you can use your credentials to log back into your account and cancel the subscription.

I have tried this and none of the email addresses that I currently use are attached to the account, so what else can I try?

Try logging into the account page using a web browser (not in incognito/private mode) on the mobile device which you are still logged into, if you are able to log in, it will show you which email is associated with your account.

Login to this page: https://www.spotify.com/account/overview

 

If you are not able to log into the account page, then I would recommend contacting the Spotify support team. You can contact them by using the online contact form or via Twitter @SpotifyCares.

i can not get into the account as i have forgotten my login detail and can reset my password as i can no longer get into my email to reset my password
