My Question or Issue
Hi,
I created my Spotify Premium account some years back living in Denmark, where I still pay my subscription from. I moved to Germany and have been very happy to be able to continue using my Danish interface. Now that my partner and I would like to use Premium duo with our current German address, it appears impossible because he created his (free) account in Germany.
Is there any possibility to setup Premium duo with different country background?
Thanks for advice 🙂

Hey @MFindus ,
Thanks for reaching out.
The country of the account that wants to join a plan must always be set to the same country setting as the account of the plan owner.
In this case, I recommend updating your payment method to one that's been issued in Germany: https://support.spotify.com/article/country-region-settings/.
Let me know how it goes 🙂

Hi Maxim,
thanks for the clarification. Quick follow-up question: if I change my country setting, and under the assumption that certain content is country specific, I guess I'll lose access to that content?
Then I'd rather cancel the duo option tbh.
I'd wish there was another solution.

Hey @MFindus ,
Thanks for your reply.
It is possible that you will lose access to some content, depending on the availability of it.
You can also use sites such as https://kaaes.github.io/albums-availability/ to check the availability of some of your content, to make sure that it's still playable after changing the country setting.
Hope this helps 🙂
