Change in Credit Card and Country

I have a Spotify Premium Family plan. Most of the people using the app are in Canada but I moved to Australia, and since i'm paying for the account, I wanted to change the payment to an Australian credit card. Now The help page told me that I need to go to subscriptions and just update my payment method. I tried that but i kept getting an error message saying that my card is not valid in the country I'm registered under. So I went to settings to change the country but it won't let me do it there. When i checked the help page again, it says that changing the payment method should prompt me to the country change, but it just showed the error again. I've called the bank and the card is valid and workig. I tired changing it two weeks ago and again today both times the same error occured. I even had everyone who is under my subscription log out of their apps and it still doesn't work. Anyone know how i can change my country and my payment method to be associated with this country?

Since you have moved you will need to update your address and payment details to match the country you are in. For the Family account this requires that you cancel the plan and sign-up again. The support FAQ is located here and I have copied some of the instructions below. Have a great day! 🙂

 

Change address

It’s not possible to change the address registered on an existing Premium for Family plan.

If you move, or enter the wrong details, you need to create a new account (make sure you cancel the plan on your old account beforehand, and sign out everywhere) and subscribe to Premium for Family on that new account.
