My Question or Issue

I want to change my subscription from Spotify family to a normal student premium account, but I'm not the "owner" of the family account. By cancelling my premium subscription, will it remove just me from the family account or will the entire family account be canceled? (I can't ask the owner to remove me right now)

Hey @rose210, thanks for reaching out to the Community!

Yes, you're able to remove yourself from the plan. Doing this won't affect everyone else, and they'll still be on the Premium Family plan (unless you're the plan manager).

To cancel and change your plan, follow these steps:

1. Log in to your account page.
2. Under Your plan, click CHANGE PLAN.
3. Here you can either switch to another Premium plan, or choose CANCEL PREMIUM under Spotify Free.
   Note: If you were invited to the Family plan but want to switch to a different plan, you first need to choose CANCEL PREMIUM. You can sign up to any plan after that.
