Looks like it’s been quite a few years since this was discussed and it’s high time for Spotify to review offering a discount to seniors, particularly with the cost of living crisis and especially in the U.K. where Spotify is in any case twice the cost of in the USA, (why is that btw?). As with all the other seniors’ previous comments, I would pay half price but not full price so Spotify is losing out on income stream by excluding us!
Hey, @Jstagguk
Welcome to Spotify Community and thanks for reaching out here!
According to our Ideas Exchange rules, discussions about discounts, offers, and prices are out of the scope of the community, because it depends on market concerns and strategies. However, you can be sure Spotify is always working hard to improve its services and provide a great listening experience to its users.
Thanks for your comprehension!
Stay awesome!
If you have further questions or if you need anything else, let me know! I'd love to help!
Regards,
Luan
I fully agree, add me to the group looking for a Senior rate.
Also, do I read it correctly that I'm limited to 15 hours/month?
I currently have SiriusXM, and was able to negotiate a better price (2 radios), and I was considering switching over to Spotify, but a) no discount, no negotiating, and b) I'm limited to 15 hrs/ week...

Spotify I'm sure has lost millions due to NO SUPPORT at all, We were premium members for years with a dual plan, when I asked how to change the plan from Dual to solo I got no help and the over complicated web interface did not allow such a change. So we canceled, every year, the third now we get an automated email stating they could not renew the dual plan due to the credit card info being no longer valid. That's because that was the only way to stop them from billing. A really bad company to deal with. no support period "support team?? What B.S.
I agree. I would definitely sign up at half price
They have no intention of giving us a discount. And today I had to put up with songs they recommended. Not one of my own library played for my 3 hour drive. I ended up listening to the radio as I hated all the songs they picked and most I'd never heard of. Done with Spotify. Going to do the same as my daughter and download my own CDC'S to listen to till i find some other way of listening to music without ads. Spotify make plenty of money but can't offer pensioner discounts. Maybe us pensioners and seniors should start our own platform for listening to music at an affordable price. We could make it a public company and all share the profits.
