Getting ads in podcasts, Parcast.

I have the premium subscription and have had it for years. Recently I started listening to one of Parcast podcasts. The first few episodes had no ads but the past few I have listened to have.

Throughout my listening the hosts would state they were taking a brake for and ad but the podcast would pick up immediately after. The past few have had ads placed in those places with the name of the track changing to "Advertisement from dictator" and such. 

I have confirmed my subscription is active, logged in and out of my account and reinstall the app on my phone. The ads keep coming back..

Although Spotify states that they don't have any ads that will interrupt you from listening to your songs or podcast. Podcast creators may include third-party advertisements.

I get that podcasts can have ads imbedded and performed by the host or someone else. But in the picture I attached, in the "playing now" you can see that what I was listening to changed to "advertisement from dictators ".

Is this advertisement implimented by Parcast or a third party but an ad that is still allowed by Spotify?

Podcast hosts may choose to allow third-party ads in their podcasts. So that mean you may encounter an ad outside of the paid promotion that a host announces in their podcast episode.

There is an active idea to change this here, as more users feel that there shouldn't be any advertisement on podcasts when listening from a Premium account. You can leave a +Vote to support it.
