My Question or Issue

I am currently a premium subscriber until 20 August 2024 having previous registered a 12 month gift card.

 

I have bought another gift card for a further 12 month subscription. In the past I have been able to register it six months prior to the other subscription expiring. I tried this today (less than six months until my current subscription expires) and it says I cannot have two running at the same time.

 

Has this condition changed? If so, when can I register the new gift card from?

Thanks for reaching out.

 

The conditions haven't changed as far as I know, so you should still be able to stack up to 18 months of Premium time on your account 🙂

 

I recommend waiting another month and then you can try redeeming it again. You can also try redeeming it using another device or while using an incognito window in a browser of your choice.

I have tried again once or twice yet still getting the error message as shown below:

My current gift card is not due to finish until 20 August 2024 but that is now less than six months away.

I've had a look through the support article and terms but I cannot see any mention of being able to register six months in advance as I'm sure it used to say.

I guess this must have changed since I last registered a gift card.

Further to my last message, I have just spotted you can still stack up to 18 months at a time but even so the gift card should register.

Thanks for getting back.

 

Based on one of the screenshots, I can see that you have a recurring Premium Individual subscription as well, but obviously you aren't being charged every month, since you've redeemed one or multiple Gift Cards.

 

Can you please cancel the subscription here and then try redeeming the Gift Card once again here?

 

Don't worry, this will basically just disable the auto-renewal for Premium Individual in case your Gift Card time runs out.
