when I go to checkout at the google store it says code redeemed. Any idea what I have to do?

It sounds like you already registered for the Google Home Mini offer. Don't worry, we're here to help.

Try the following:

1. Log into Spotify here.
2. Go to spotify.com/googlehome/redeem​
3. Select the colour of the device, and click Buy.

If you've registered for the offer, the code should automatically be redeemed when you press Buy.

Says code already redeemed even though I have not used it and I'm the only one with access to my Spotify account

It's possible that someone might actually have had access to your account and redeemed the offer already. Just to be sure, follow the steps provided on this help article. Make sure to go through all of it as there's important information in every step.
