Hi there,

Currently it's not possible to remove podcasts from your shows or the home screen, as those get updated automatically.

What you can do is listen to more of your favorite content and those sections will update over time.

You can also leave your +Vote on this Idea to make this customizable. The more votes an Idea gets, the more likely it will get implemented.

Hope this helps.

Sucede que se reproduce en forma aleatoria y se reproduce ese podcasts y antes nunca se ah escuchado de la nada sale ese podcasts. por mas que escucho otro contenido vuelve, se debe tener cuidado ya que el perfil es de un niño.

Hey @yaritzaiv,

Thanks for your reply and for the info shared.

We hope you don't mind us answering in English as this is the official language of the forum.

That being said, we'd like to add some additional insights. When you reach the end of an album, playlist, podcast or selection of songs, Spotify automatically plays similar content so the listening never stops. This only happens when you have Autoplay enable on the settings of the app. We'd recommend to disable this option, that way when listening to podcast, you won't received any new recommend content. You can read more about it in this article.

We understand where you're coming from. When the app doesn't have enough info on your tastes and preferences (e.g. if the user doesn't listen to many podcasts) some recommendations are made based on similar listening experiences from other users. In that sense, recommendations may not be as accurate. We'd suggest listening to content that you really like, so that the system has enough info about your tastes and preferences and recommends you the right content in case you prefer to maintain enable Autoplay.

We've also located this idea with a similar request. Feel free to add your vote and you can also subscribe to it in the three-dot menu, that way you can stay up-to-date with any relevant news about this.

We hope you found this helpful. Let us know if you need anything else.

This is disgraceful. I've just realised that not only can I not removed shows from a list (what other app doesn't allow history to be deleted?), but, that there isn't a way to stop the app from casting to a TV, or for someone using the TV to connect to my Spotify? Like...what the actual f*ck. I'm in a shared home and anybody can access my Spotify whenever they want and see anything I've listened to!

Membership getting cancelled.

Your dev and product team always find new ways to impress me as to how incompetent your UX team is.

this is unacceptable, holy fk this is annoying, why is your UX and dev teams so incompetent? it autoplays a podcast i hate every time i try to listen to the daily podcasts i like.

Same! I’m trying to get rid of a podcast but it keeps auto playing it!

This is honestly one of the most annoying features I have experienced while using Spotify. (I have been using Spotify for many years), specially since 2008 or so. At one point, I was uncertain if I wanted to keep on listening to a podcast but eventually found them to be annoying or uninteresting, BUT Spotify will still not allow me to get rid of them, and this greatly displeases me.

People have been requesting and voting for this feature for literal years, why is such a basic feature still missing?

One of my parents borrowed my ipad for a day and now my entire home page is filled with recommendations for bible podcasts. I can't get rid of them, and I can't find anything to replace them with because I just get recommended more bible stuff.

Same!

Incredibly poor UX!

Every time I open Spotify, I see a podcast -that I accidentally opened 2 years ago and really hate to see!- in the "Your Shows" section, both in mobile and Mac apps!

It is unnecessarily annoying for a user not to be capable of deleting it from that section.

+1 to all these who are furious that you will not let me remove a supposed podcast that was accidentally played through Google Assistant as she mishears stuff all the time and now I get inappropriate content randomly shoved at me while I'm driving with my child in the car.

You're effectively responsible for my child being exposed to inappropriate content that I have no way of preventing other than deletion of Spotify. You're doing a really good job of ruining what once was a mighty platform. I'm becoming quite sick of you now, seemingly others are too. Get a grip.

Grab a hold of your "business people" and tell them they shouldn't put their own interest in pushing content over privacy concerns.

There needs to be a way to delete from ALL kinds of lists you have; playlists, "last searched", "last viewed" etc etc... some have the feature some don't it is a stupid design choice.

What is the point of voting if the team can just decide it’s not worth their time? This is a feature that has been voted over the threshold multiple times over multiple years. You are making billions of dollars and still somehow cannot figure out a “remove from home screen” function.

Simple, add a “Remove” bottom. That’s easy, problem solve.

Hilarious that this 'idea' STILL hasn't been implemented even after thousands of people have asked for it. Spotify isn't worth the money.

Yep. They're idiots.

It's starting to seem like they prefer it this way. Who cares what the users (who validate the existence of the platform) think?! They'll all keep paying anyway won't they.

So let me get this straight: the only way to get a podcast out of the "Your Shows" section is to play other podcasts until they "push" the undesired one off the list, but until it is off the list, Spotify will keep auto-playing that show after other episodes finish, thus preventing it from ever getting pushed off the list?  Yeah, that's dumb.
