I understand your concern.

The person you're sending the gift card to, their account’s country settings need to match where the gift card was purchased. 

In your case, you won't be able to purchase a gift card in one country to send in another. As an alternative, they can purchase Spotify gift cards from many leading electronic and retail stores, or at select retailers online.

This solution does not work-if they have to purchase then it’s NOT a gift. Surely Spotify can come up for better solutions than this or is it better to just dump Spotify completely-it doesn’t seem concerned to much about expanding its consumer experience
