How to set up duo when both people share an email address

My wife and I live at the same address and both share the same email address. I can't get my wife added to Premium Duo.

I think I have to add her as a new account, but it doesn't seem possible to create two accounts with the same email address.

This can't be an unusual situation, so how do I deal with this?

Thanks for coming to the Community.

She can only accept the invite using her own Spotify account 🙂 If she doesn't have one, she can sign up at https://spotify.com/signup. Keep in mind that each email address can only be associated with one Spotify account, so she'll need to use a different one.

Once she has successfully signed up, she'll be able to accept your Premium Duo invite 🙂

My daughter and I share the same Apple account and email so Spotify thinks my phone is hers. I signed up for Premium but it won’t allow my phone to be invited it thinks I’m her and she’s the account manager. How do I have my own account under the Premium
