Upgraded to premium I can download albums now but still getting annoying advertisements

Where do you see these ads exactly? If it's within music, perhaps either the subscription wasn't actually started or the app hasn't synced with it. Check your account page to make sure everything is in order. If you account still appears on free, you can try subscribing again. If it's on Premium, consider performing a clean reinstall of the app.

If you see ads in podcasts only, this is to be expected. Refer to this thread for more info on that.
