If I combine accounts will I lose my playlists

We are looking to move to a duo account and wondering if the person changing or closing their single account will lose their playlists when we combine?

No worries, you keep your same Spotify account no matter which plan you switch to or from; so neither you nor the other member of your residence will lose any of your playlists, saved music, or settings upon switching to Premium Duo.

Either you or the other member of your residence can sign up for Premium Duo as the plan manager here, and then invite the other person to the plan by following these steps. 

Bear in mind that members can only switch between different Premium Duo or Premium Family plans once a year.
