No confirmation of a 6 month premium trial starting

My Question or Issue

I was on xbox and saw an advertisement for a perk which was 6-months of free premium. I have had the 30 day trial in the past, and Im thinking that it probably isnt letting me have the 6 month free because of that.

But anyways when i clicked on the advertisement is noticed that i have premium and said i just had to switch plans, so i switched from Premium for myself, the 10 dollar one to the family plan so My brother and I can both use it. 

After i switched over i was looking for any confirmation of 6 months worth of free premium, i.e spotify telling me i would be billed 15 dollars for the family plan 6 months from now. But all it said was that my plan would star 4 days from now and i would be billed then.

So im just wondering, did i get 6 month free premium from this and how can i check it? Or did i just switch plans for no reason??

Idk i would really like some help with this. Thank you.

If you've been on Premium before, you won't be able to redeem any free trial anymore no matter which plan you choose. Sorry for the confusion!
