Offline for more than a month

Offline for more than a month

I am going to be somewhere for 18 months where I wont have internet connection on my phone. Can I still somehow use Spotify and my offline playlist or is it time to start downloading mp3s again?

Hey @Atliskulason,

I'm sorry to say, but Spotify requires to connect to the server at least once every 30 days to confirm you have an active subscription, otherwise you won't be able to use it.

Hey @Atliskulason,

I believe you should be able to use Spotify offline just fine, but just to make sure I'll need some more details;

  • Is Spotify available where you are going?
  • Are you going to be paying for a premium subscription during your stay there?

If you can provide as much information as you can that will help alot!

Best,

Thanks for the reply Jordan,

I will be paying for my subacription if it means I can listen to music. Well I am going to Antarctica so there will be no network signal and my phone wont be allowed on the satellite network and so would remain on flight mode for the whole time. I was hoping to be able to listen to my downloaded songs but it was suggested on one of these boards that if I remain offline for more than a month and the app doesnt connect to a network to ensure my subscription is valid then the app will lock me out.

Best
