Pay for someone else's subscription in Canada

Hi, 

I want to get a spotify subscription as a gift. How can I do that without just logging onto their account and just paying for it? 

A post below says you can get gift cards but this solution seems to be for US accounts. This account will be for Canada.

Thanks, as it turns out Canadian Tire and (apparently Superstore) sell them.
