My Question or Issue

I understand with podcasts that it is norm for podcasts that originate from organizations other than Spotify to contain commercials.
I'm listening to a "Spotify original podcast" called "case 63". I have a paid subscription and do not hear commercials when playing music. Why is this podcast produced by Spotify begin with 2 commercials each episode?

This is an expected behavior. The Premium subscription promises ad-free music, but podcasts may include ads or sponsorship. In these cases, the creator is the one in charge of including ads during the podcast or before/after it. Even if the show is a Spotify Original or Spotify Exclusive, the creator is the one who decides on the ads or not. So, with this in mind, you can find podcasts with ads or not.
