Premium issue due to failed charge

Premium issue due to failed charge

Dear community,

The last 7 months I have been using Spotify premium student, whereas I was paying 5 euro's per month for premium membership. I have been using paypal to issue the payments to spotify. Recently, due to an outstanding debt on paypal, I was unable to send my monthly payment to Spotify. I have been trying to resolve this problem by updating my payment options. Unfortunately, I only have the option to pay by credit card now, and instead of 5 euro's it is trying to charge me 9,99.

Now my question: How do I resolve this oustanding payment to Spotify without losing my student status?

Thanks for your help.

Kind regards,

Antonie

Hey there @antoniemuijtjen

Thanks for reaching out - we’re here to help!

If you only see the full Premium price of 9.99 EUR instead of 4.99 EUR you might need to verify your status as a student. Premium Student is valid for up to 12 months from the date you subscribed. When the discount expires, your subscription automatically continues at the standard rate for Premium Individual unless you cancel or apply for another year (with a 4 year limit).

Student discount users receive a warning email 1 month before the offer expires. The email includes instructions on how to reactivate the Premium Student offer and continue paying the discounted price.

In this case we'd suggest you apply for the Student discount once again here

Hope this helps. Let us know how it goes.
