Hello @kiril,

I do also have the same problem.

I live with my husband and tried to subscribe to duo but Spotify does not recognise our adress though we enter the exact same one!

Could you please help?

Best,

Marion

Hey @Marionne84,

Thanks for reaching out!

Just to check, does the same thing happen if you try accepting the invite using another device? If possible, we recommend trying another internet connection as well.

Shouldn't that do the trick, the plan manager can try updating the registered address by following the steps on this page. Once it's done, you'll need to send out a new invite before giving it another try.

Feel free to send us a screenshot of the error message you're seeing, should the issue persist, so that we can have a look as well. Just make sure it doesn't include any personal info.

Keep us posted on how it goes 🙂

Hello,

thanks for the quick feedback,

we tried what you suggested but we still face the same issue!

error message says: "you need to live at the same address"

"it looks like you're trying to join Duo from a different country. Duo is only available for couples that live together. Try again when you're at the same address."
I don't understand. We tried everything! Different device, different internet connection, geolocalisation on and off...

This is becoming very frustrating since I am paying now for 2 days without any benefits.

Could you please help me?
Best regards,

Marion

Hey @Marionne84,

Thanks for the reply!

I would first check if both your country settings are correctly set. This article will be of help with taking a look at those.
Once you're positive that the country settings are in order, in case the address issue still persists, you can try using a Google+ code instead of the address. To see how this can be done, take a look at the solution from this thread here.

Hope this helps! Keep us posted on how things go 🙂

Hi Marionne84.

I found yesterday the same problem. Turns out the addresses have to be in the exact same format. In my case, my partner had "Carrer de XXX, 00000 CCC, Barcelona" while I had XXX, CCC, Barcelona", being XXX the street name, 00000 the postal code, and CCC the municipality name. Both addresses were found by the system, but didn't match: mine didn't have "Carrer de", neither "00000", the postal code; still, it was found as a valid address. Spotify should look into that and correct it.

So, my advice is to check that both yours and you husband's addresses match perfectly.

Hope it helps.
