My Question or Issue

When I want to proceed to checkout, add my debit card specifically, it shows error. My card isn’t a dual currency card, but allows only to pay through bdt. Could that be the problem?

Hey @hardnut21!

 

No worries, you don’t need to pay your subscription in USD or have it supported on your credit card. You should be able to pay it in your local currency (BDT) just fine.

First, I wanted to share this article with you, which covers the possible reasons why your payment might have failed

It’s also a good idea to try some basic troubleshooting, like using a different device, switching to an incognito window, or connecting to a different internet network, just to see if that helps.


If none of that works, you can wait 24 hours and try again. And if you have another payment method, it’s worth giving that a shot too.

Thanks for the article. But kindly provide the answer of what I've asked. Does my debit card need to be dual currency card (second currency being the USD) to complete the payment or single currency card (BDT, Bangladesh's currency) will simply do?

Could you share a screenshot or let us know what error pops up when you try to enter your credit card? Also, double-check that your card was issued in the same country and region you have set in your account settings.

The country's same & the card is also working, leaving the only possibility if the card is authorised for international transactions or not (eg, like I said, does spotify require dual currency(USD) or not)

Great, thanks for that. But you're not answering the only thing that I have repeatedly asked you! Can you please answer does the card need to be USD activated to make that transaction happen or BDT will do? I'm asking this because then I would know if it’s a problem from my end or not.

ITS ALSO NOT WORKING FO ME  NOW NOT WITH CARD ALSO SAME ISSUE  IANT PURCHASE THE STUDENT PLAN  WHILE AM TRYING WITH MY SIM AIRTEL AND ALSO WITH CARD I TRIED WITH GRAMEEN ALSO THEN THERE IS THIS ISSUE PAYMENT UNSUCCESSFUL PLEAASE TRY ANOTHER METHOD TRIED IT FOR 2 DAYS NOW I AM TIRED CAN ANYONE OR SPOTIFY FIX THIS  THING ASAP JUST TIRED
