My Question or Issue

Hello all,

I was a student in the US and I subscribed to Spotify student premium in the US. Now, I moved to Canada to continue my studies and here is my dilemma. My Spotify is stuck in the US student premium and I can't switch it to Canada student premium. Whenever I try to subscribe to a Canadian student premium I am told that a student premium is already active. And when I try to pay, the payment information are US-related. But I only have Canadian payment methods right now.

How do I switch my account from a US student premium to a Canadian student premium? I have already passed the two week usage abroad period.

Thanks for posting here.

In this case it's a good idea to give these steps a go and update your payment details, using a payment method that was issued in the country of your new residence.

The changes will take effect from your next billing date.

If you get an error message, you can try updating the payment details in another browser.
