My Question or Issue

I was unknowingly still signed in with a family member's account instead of mine. I subscribed to Spotify Premium Duo.

1) can I transfer the subscription to my account?

2) i guess one option would be to cancel the subscription and then set up a new one with the right account. I subscribed yesterday, so haven't paid any fee yet. Will I need to pay any additional charges?

Thanks

Jon

Hi @JonDC8,

Welcome to the Community and thank you for posting!

At the moment, it's not possible to transfer a subscription between accounts, so the alternative would be canceling the subscription and setting it up again on your account.

However, take into account that there's a 12 month limit in which an account can be affiliated to another person's Duo/Family subscription. This means that if your family member's account has already belonged to a group plan in the last 12 months, there's a possibility they won't be able to join the plan you set up on your own account.

You mention you haven't paid any fee, so we assume you signed up for a free trial. Keep in mind that the trial may not apply again to your account.
