Subscription Change Payment Issues

Hi all,

 

I just registered yesterday and wrongly selected "free" subscription mode. Now when changing the subscription to "premium" I undergo the payment selection and regardless if I perform the Paypal payment and complete the process or select the credit card option (succussfully) I will always be redirected to the payment option page. Hence the payment does not complete succussfully and therefore the subscription change does not complete.

 

Please note that in both cases (Paypal or Credit Card) the details are correct and the process finishes gracefully. Looks to me like a Spotify webpage issue.

Thanks for coming to the Community.

 

I recommend giving it a try in another browser and/or on another device. You can also try following this guide: https://community.spotify.com/t5/FAQs/What-is-quot-Private-quot-or-quot-Incognito-quot-browsing/ta-p/4587453.

 

Also, keep in mind that devices that run iOS 10 are no longer supported by Spotify. The current minimum is iOS 12. You can find more info about this here.

I am one step further. Since I signed up for "free" subscription I now have 1 month of free premium and I guess that is why I cannot change to premium?! I guess I need to wait until the free premium month is over. Reason for me assuming is that I now tested with Chrome and Firefox in private mode and same behaviour. But if I am in premium subscription shouldn't I be able to transfer a playlist (via ...) to my apple watch? this option is unfortunately not available?!!?! Any help would be highly appreciated. Has the payment method that you're trying to use ever been used for Spotify in the past?

 

Also, just to double-check, are you trying to get the Premium trial or directly pay for Premium?

Currently I am on "free" subscription with "premium trial" (for 1 month). However I would be happy to move to "premium individual" directly. 

The payment method was not used before.
