Subscription not started even after payment

My Question or Issue

I have paid for my prepaid premium subscription of 129/month but my subscription hasn't been started yet. Spotify is really lagging in terms of payment and subscription. I have faced payment problems earlier too and this type of unprofessional behavior is not at all expected from Spotify.

Thanks for reaching out and welcome to the Community.

 

Can you start by taking a look at your Receipts page? If you don't see the payment there, it means that it hasn't gone through successfully on our end yet.

 

With some payments it might take a couple of days until the charge is processed, so we'd recommend that you wait 48 hours to see if the payment shows up on your Receipts page and you get your Premium features. If it doesn't, you should soon receive your funds back automatically. 

 

If you don't receive the funds back, we'd recommend reaching out to your payment provider for more info about the charge.

Seriously?!? I'll have to wait for 48hrs ...To get my premium, something I have already paid for...This is actually very frustrating.

Thanks for keeping us in the loop. 

 

Along the lines of what @Elena suggested, it'd be good for you to reach out to your bank to confirm "what" or "how long" it takes for your card to successfully activate Spotify. As a heads-up, make sure your card is enabled for foreign, secure online (and even recurring) purchases.
