I updated my payment info and now I’m being told I have to wait a month before my subscription will renew?? Shouldn’t it automatically pick up if I payed the monthly payment?

Once you update your payment info, the new payment method will be charged on your next subscription renewa; so you might have been already charged on your old payment method.
