Trying to change payment method.

Trying to change payment method.

I'm trying to change my payment method to my new card and whenever I click update, it never gives me an option to change the method. Is there any other way to change it besides riding it out till the day I have to pay and cancelling it?

Hey @Ubifunky,

have you tried to use an incognito tab, clear the cookies of your browser and use another browser or device?

When this doesn't work, you should try to use another internet connection (e.g. cellular data instead of WiFi).

I am having the same problem. Every time I hit update it just goes back to the same page. There's no ability to even try to enter new credit card data -- and it's showing an out of date expiry date even though I did update it and charges have gone through for more than a year since the expiry date listed. I've tried different browsers, private windows and clearing all Spotify cookies but no luck. Do I really need to cancel an account and start over? Doesn't seem like the best customer retention method.

I have the same problem and this does not work.

Hey @lucpdx and @cd77,

then you should try following these steps:

  1. Cancel your subscription.
  2. Wait for your account to revert to Free. You can check this on your subscription page.
    (You won’t lose any music or account settings by reverting to Free, but you will need to redownload anything you’ve made available for offline listening once you’re back on Premium.)
  3. Resubscribe to Premium with other card details.
