Why are there incentives to join Spotify, but none to stay?

My question, or issue...

Why does Spotify offer great deals to join, but never any kind of incentives or rewards to stay when you are a loyal, faithful, customer?

Do they not know we have options? 

I have been a premium Spotify user for 5+ years. Faithfully paying $9.99/month.

And you’re telling me that the new guy who just signed up gets 3 months for less than half of what I pay for one?

Not even asking for a lot, but something would be nice. Am I right guys?

This was actually a suggestion in the Ideas board in 2017, but did not receive enough votes to stay active (100 in one year). There is a similar one for a long time Premium users discount suggested here that was marked as "Not Right Now" on 5/29/19.
You can still add your vote to both ideas if you'd like. There's always a chance ideas can be reconsidered. 🙂
