I thought I would be eligible for the student discount so I typed in my card, but then realized that I was uneligible. I went back and retracted my info and remained a Spotify Free user, however my card statement shows a Spotify Student Premium charge for $4.99. As I am not getting the service, I would love to get my 5 dollars back.

It's very likely just a pending charge if you haven't received a receipt from Spotify via Email: https://support.spotify.com/account_payment_help/managing_payments/pending-charges/.
