My Question or Issue

Spotify denied my payment : triying to pay with visa card in Argentina:

´´Se produjo un error con el pago. Inténtalo de nuevo, usa otra tarjeta o prueba con otro método de pago. Visita nuestra página de ayuda. 

(error payment, try again, use another card or try another pay method)

im always pay this way, dont know why not now

 

(help page dont help!!!)

Thanks for coming to the Spotify Community. Can you try paying for Premium using another browser or Incognito Mode? It might also be worth trying another device or a different internet connection.

Thanks for your reply. Are you able to make other online purchases using that card? I'd recommend reaching our to your credit card provider to make sure everything's fine on their end.

Hi, i have the same problem that @fschurmann has. I'm trying to pay my subscription, but that error appears. I've tried with a lot of cards mine and from my friends, and nothing changes. Also, I called to visa to approve the transaction, but nothing seems to work. Can someone help us? Thanks!

Thanks for reaching out. I'd recommend trying the steps provided in this Support article. If that doesn't help, can you let me know what happens when you try to pay for Premium? Are you getting any error messages?

Hi Jose. Thanks for your answer. I've tried all of the options available in the help page. I'm getting an error:

"Se produjo un error con el pago. Inténtalo de nuevo, usa otra tarjeta o prueba con otro método de pago. Visita nuestra página de ayuda."

I've called to visa to authorise the transaction too, and tried with every card that I have.

I'm trying to repeat the same process from +20 days ago, and I can't pay premium yet 😭. Can you help me? Thanks!

Thanks for your reply. Can you check what subscription type shows in your account page? If you're part of a Premium for Family plan, you'll need to leave this plan first before purchasing a new subscription.

Hi Jose. Right now I'm on a family plan to use spotify normally, but in the last 3 months couldn't buy my new subscription. Also, i've tried to add a new payment method without subscribing, but i haven't success 😞

Keep in mind that if you're a member of the Family plan, you won't be able to update your payment details as it's the manager that handles the payments. However, if you're the manager you can add a new payment method with the steps in this article and if you're seeing any error messages you can try with an incognito window or even on another device. 

 

If the issue persists and you've reached out to your payment provider in order to make sure everything's in order from their end as well, it's best to contact our colleagues from support so they can check things out backstage.
