Hi,

I just signed our family up for Premium Family at Christmas.
When my son switched his Premium account, which had just renewed, over to the family account, he did not receive a refund for his almost full unused month. Should he not be receiving a refund?

Hey @wabil,

 

No, there's no refund being issued automatically, since his subscription would just continue if he leaves your Premium for Family plan.

 

He can take a look at the Spotify Refund Policy if he wants to: https://support.spotify.com/account_payment_help/managing_payments/refund-policy/.

Well that's not good. He's not leaving our Family Subscription, he's leaving his, there should be a refund, he does not want his to continue. So, he basically is paying for a month he can't use, you can't have 2 premium subscriptions on same account.
Is his original personal premium subscription 'paused' so he still has it available if he ever leaves the family account?
