legit email or scam?

legit email or scam?

I just contacted support@spotify.com about canceling my subscription. I got an reply from noreply Salesforce.

They are asking for:

  • The exact date and time of the transaction, according to your bank statement.
  • The first six and last four digits of your payment card.
  • How the charge appears on your statement (i.e. ADY*Spotify, Spotify USA, Spotify xxxx SE).
  • The country of issue of the payment card used.
  • The exact amount you were charged (including tax).

Just wondering if this is a legit email, before I give out any information.

Hello @Jakethisis

Thank you for reaching out here in the Community!

If you’re aren’t sure of an email that claims to be from Spotify, or if the sender email does not end in @spotify.com, don’t click any links or provide information.

If you get any suspicious emails, make sure to forward the entire email to spoof@spotify.com

Spotify team will investigate it and they will let you know if the email is legitimate.

For more details on that, check this support article.

If you want to cancel your Premium subscription, make sure to follow the steps provided here

I hope you'll find this helpful!

Hi @Jakethisis

Thanks for the response!

No need to post the email here, you can just forward the whole message to the Spoof Team and they'll check it for you.
