Add to other playlist button not saving changes

My Question or Issue:

When I click on the plus button to adjust what playlist(s) a song is saved in, I am able to complete my changes but very frequently the changes are not saved or applied to the song. This is a newer issue, now that there is no "save changes" button to click on. I have many playlists categorized by time & genre, so many of my songs go in more than one playlist, which has suddenly become an issue with this update. In addition, when I am adding a song to other playlists, I am unable to remove the song from a playlist at the same time when I used to be able to do all of this with one step. Now the only way to remove a song is to use specifically the "remove from this playlist" button.

My Question or Issue

I cannot add songs to any existing playlists using any method. I click 'add to playlist', select the playlist, add it. It has no effect.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled, cleared the cache. Very occasionally it works. One out of 20 attempts.

.. This is where I'm stopped. I don't see an option to complete - "save", the additional Title. (Perhaps worth noting here: I have a premium account, and numerous /- quite a few, playlist generated.)

".. Once you move to three dots near the playlist. You will get an option Name and details to edit ideally with option to save or cancel name change." ....

They removed the confirmation button for some reason. Instead you have to choose the playlist then drag the little tab down from the top of the screen. Very inconvenient, hopefully it’s reverted.

• A video recording of this behavior. You can attach the videos to your next reply in mp4 format, or upload them to YouTube or Google Drive and make them public

Happening to me too, since a recent update a few weeks ago. There's no "save" button or anything to confirm my addition. I get a green check, but can only back out of the menu and the song isn't added. If I force stop the app I can successfully add one song before it starts happening again.

We don't want this new playlist menu. It is evidently buggy and worse to use. What is infuriating, is that for 29 minutes it was reverted for me, so I know I could have the old, working menu, yet someone over there decided to give me the new menu again. NOBODY ASKED FOR THIS. IT DOESN'T WORK.

I don't know what the point would be to post in the idea exchange since my idea would only be "revert it to how it was before" which I know you can. It's not a new idea. It has been done. It worked before. Just revert it.

I also have already posted a video and given all of the other information you requested, as have others. Yet nothing is done.

How could this change go throug to beeing live? Its a major usability downgrade. Can we get an eta on hotfix? Its very very annoying.

A recent update was made on android mobile to allow playlist filtering when in the menu to add a song to playlists, which is awesome. Unfortunately, this introduced bugs and latency when using the menu.

-

1. When trying to add a song to multiple playlists within a folder the song only gets added to one of the selected playlists. This means I have to go through the menu X amount of times where X is the number of playlists that I want to add to in any given folder.

2. The entire UI for adding songs to playlists is laggy. When drilling down through folders the menu disappears for a second then reappears, taking at least twice as long as it used to prior to the filtering update. 

3. The "save changes" button was removed, so to save the changes we now need to pull the menu away from the top. The hitbox for the bar is so slim that I almost always accidentally pull down my android UI instead of closing the add to playlist menu. "Cancel" button was also removed, so if I go to remove a song from a bunch a playlists but then change my mind, I need to reselect all the playlists individually.

4. Finally, the button to "removal from all playlists" was removed, which was very convenient when I decided I didn't like a song anymore and wanted to remove it from all my playlists. 

I am a huge playlist making fan, and greatly appreciate the new option to filter playlists in the add to playlist menu; however, I would much prefer the quick, reliable functionality of the old menu over the laggy, buggy menu that has playlist filters! The lagginess has tripled (at least!!)  the time it takes me to add a single song to all my appropriate playlists and it's driving me a bit crazy.

When multiple playlists are selected, the song only gets added to the playlist which was selected first. Also, pressing the back button exits the playlist adding menu without adding to any playlist; swiping down on the playlist menu is the only way to exit the menu and actually have the song added to any playlist.

The 'swipe down' UI when adding a song to playlists is stupid and clunky. Bring back the old "done" bottom after checking the box to add to various playlists
