Annoying and ridiculous “add to playlist” feature.

Annoying and ridiculous “add to playlist” feature.

When you go to add a song to playlist it now lists “saved in” at the top. Sometimes I have songs saved in 10+ playlists. Why would I want to scroll down the entire list before I get to add it to an existing playlist? What is the purpose showing “saved in” playlists first? I am obviously not trying to see what playlists a song is in if I’m clicking “add to playlist.” This is so irritating and I don’t understand how the UX just keeps getting worse and worse yet the price goes up and up.

Hey @tm325,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community.

The section "Saved in" that you can see on the top of the list is made to show to the user that the track was already added to a playlist and prevent the trying of re-adding it to the same one. However, if you don't like this option, you can create an idea in our Ideas Exchange board about it, so it can start being voted on and eventually reach the relevant departments to be taken into account.

We'd also recommend checking out our guidelines to avoid any early rejections.

That doesn’t make sense. With the checkmark, it wouldn’t let me add a song if it was already added anyways. That has nothing to do with “saved in” being at the top. I’m obviously not clicking “add to playlist” to see what playlists the song is already in - obviously it’s to add it to a new playlist and now i have to scroll past 20+ “saved in” just to get to my recent playlists.
