My Question or Issue
Hi!
I have a problem with syncing my local files. Everything worked perfectly a few weeks ago but today I tried to add new *.mp3 files and I couldn't sync them(it just showed "!" under the song name) so I searched and found your FAQ guide and did everything that was written there(Reinstalled Spotify on my phone and computer, tried hotspot instead of wifi etc.). Now I can't sync files that were synced before.
They're just normal *.mp3 files (320kbps) with tags and artwork added to them.
Is there any fix? or is it just a bug?

Hey, thanks for helping me but I fixed it with an unusual fix.
I had problems with my PC so I reinstalled it and gave it another try to sync and it worked as it should.
soo Idk what was wrong with my pc(I reinstalled Spotify several times, even tried *.exe version instead of Store one) but now it works, yay
Edit: creating a new account didn't help btw and everything works with my main one
Hey @Smaartisko,
Thanks for reaching out and welcome to the Community.
Just to confirm, have you tried a clean reinstall of the Spotify app on your device? We recommend the steps in that guide, as they’re very thorough and make sure no damaged leftover files remain. These changes tend to solve issues like the one you're experiencing. Give your device a quick restart as well before you open the newly installed app. If you use an SD card, you can remove it before the clean reinstall and then try again running the app without the SD card. That way we can check if the card is causing this behavior.
Let us know how you get on. The Community is one post away.
Hi, thanks for answer.
It doesn't work. I even tried different phone and computer.
The only way to download it is when I logout and login with different(my friend's) account.
It's weird and confusing...
Hey @Smaartisko,
Thanks for getting back to us.
If importing the same files on the same device works with a different account, this would indicate an issue with your own. A possible workaround would be to create a new account and see if the feature is works correctly there. If that's the case you can use the steps here to transfer your music collection.
Hope this helps. Keep us posted on how it goes.
