I am loving the DJ feature. I understand people complaining about the voice killing the vibe and agree an on/off button would be nice, but for me, I would/will definitively keep it on. I like the "pause" on the flow of music, and as a ecletic person, having different sets during the day is being great! 🙂
My only thing is, I am in Australia, so at 8 AM on a Monday, hearing a "Let's continue your Sunday" breaks all the magic. I can't tell which TMZ DJ is following, but is definitively the same as me 😕

Hey folks,
Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.
@EduardoNAzevedo, @nathanSpotify, @jasonmillsnz, in this case, we'd recommend you log out and log in twice in a row onto your Spotify account. This could sound a little bit odd, but this way the system will force a resync of your account in general. Give it a try and let us know how it goes.
If the above doesn't do the trick, would you mind sending us the make/model and OS of the devices in which you notice this behavior, along with the Spotify version you're running there?
Lastly, would you mind sending us a video recording of this behavior? You can attach the videos in your next reply in mp4 format, or you can also upload them to YouTube or Google Drive and make them public, so we can visualize them. We understand it might be difficult, but we advise you to record by the time you notice the DJ naming the wrong date.
Keep us in the loop!

My Question or Issue
Hey @Carter13,
Thanks for posting in the Community.
Could you give us more details on the experience you had? Are you talking about the AI DJ or the greeting on the home page?
Keep us posted.
Cheers!
I've been enjoying the DJ, but it must think I am in the US not AUS, as it is telling me it is the previous day all the time.
Is there a setting I am missing?
My profile in my account is AUS.
Same, I am in NZ and have the same thing. I wonder if the type of songs the DJ spins up is related to the time it thinks it is

Hi Aleja, thanks for looking into.
I've tried the steps above, but on my mobile only. Other accounts were still connected (different laptops).
Hopefully in one device is enough. I will observe if it will fix or not (tried to press the "DJ" button to listen a new set, but didn't got lucky in having him saying something date related).
I will come back here later with my findings.
Disregard, before doing the log-out log-on, i captured the DJ saying "Wednesday", when It is Thursday downunder already.
Video is here. (Note: keep the volume down, I wasn't expecting to be that high on the video, sorry about that, lol)
And finally, my hardware and spotify versions are on my original post.
Once again, thank you for looking into
Hey AlejaR. This Morning DJ X properly said Tuesday. I believe your log-off log-on twice in a row (I did 4, just in case, lol) did the trick.
Thanks!
I've been wondering the exact same thing! @jasonmillsnz
This morning it seems in knows the time finally!
@AlejaR, I did not login and logout, missed that recommendation.
However something has changed and it is working.

My Question or Issue
Whenever the Spotify DJ tries to play hot hits, it says it's playing from the "Hot Hits Aeoteroa Playlist" even though I am in Western Australia, Not New Zealand.
Hey there @Rebo111,
Thanks for getting in touch about this.
Even though the issue you mentioned is slightly different, we suggest that you try the troubleshooting steps suggested in this thread to see if they work for you.
Also, we'd like to know if this has always happened or if it started happening after a specific event such as an update.
Keep us posted.
Hi @Eni,
This has always been an issue since I started using the DJ.
I've just tried the logout-login twice and still got the same thing.
Like I said, I use several devices/versions, but the version on the laptop I'm currently using is:
Spotify for Windows (64 bit)
1.2.37.701.ge66eb7bc
Is the DJ location tied to the account or is it based off my location? If I travel internationally or use a vpn, should it change?
Thanks for the cooperation @Rebo111.
DJ will pick out tracks based on your taste profile and you can like and save the content directly to your playlist from the experience. Both the country settings of your account, as well as the location you're currently at (if you're traveling) have an impact on the content that you see on Spotify. It's also worth mentioning that recommendations are influenced by what other users with similar listening habits like.
To make your listening experience better, you can always exclude a playlist from your taste profile and more details you can find in this article.
If you're using a VPN, it can also have an impact on the content, but it can also cause different performance issues with Spotify, so that's why we don't recommend it. If that's the case on your desktop then we recommend disabling it and testing without the VPN.
Hope this helps clear things up and we're here if you've got any other questions 🙂
