Discover Weekly Playlist corrupted

Solved!

Discover Weekly Playlist corrupted

Premium

USA

iphone 13  and MacAir os10

I've been listening to a sleep playlist offline almost every night and it has completely taken over my discover and daily mix playlists. I'm only listening to it to help me sleep and it's not what I want to be hearing throughout the day! I would think the fact that I'm only playing it offline would prevent this. I'm so bummed, I used to really enjoy these mixes, especially Discover Weekly. Any suggestions?

Hi @STrimble

Thank you for reaching out here in the Community!

You can switch on Private Session every time you listen to your sleep playlist.

That way it won't influence your recommendations e.g. Discover Weekly.

On mobile:

  • Tap Home icon_home.png
  • Tap Settings icon_settings.png
  • Under Social, switch on Private Session
  • Repeat the steps to end the Private Session

On desktop:

  • Click icon_arrow.png in the top right corner of the app
  • Select Private Session. A padlock on your profile picture indicates a private session is active
  • Repeat the steps to end the Private Session.

Note: The Private Session ends automatically when you restart Spotify, or after a long period of inactivity.

When you will listen to your regular music, all the personalized playlists from the Made For You section will get back to normal. Just give it some time 🙂

For now you can use the Don't play this icon_no.png button in Discover Weekly and Release Radar

If you don't want to wait, you can create a new account, transfer your music there and start fresh. Just follow the steps provided in this article

I hope you'll find this helpful!
