Enabling equalizer decreases the volume

Enabling equalizer decreases the volume

Plan: Premium
Country: Romania

Device: iPad Pro, Mac Mini, Surface Pro
Operating System: macOS Ventura, iPad OS 16, Windows 10

My Question or Issue:
Whenever I enable the equalizer and set it to anything other than Flat, the volume decreases. Especially when using the Rock preset, or if I turn way up any sliders.
Volume normalization is OFF. Listening with wired headphones (NO Bluetooth). It's happening on Mac, iPad and Windows.

Hey @tudor-V,

Thanks for reaching out.

We've tested this on our end but couldn't reproduce the issue. Is it possible for you to try again with a different set of headphones?

Let us know how it goes.

I have this problem too. It also appears on bluetooth headphones and when listening in the car (connection also via BT)

Hi there @mjanega89,

Thanks for the reply. Could you please make a video of the issue and send it to us here? If the file is too big, you can also send it via Google Drive or as an unlisted YouTube video. That would be much appreciated.

Keep us posted.

Have this issue on MacOS Ventura 13.4. It's extremely obnoxious because boosting the bass will make everything else overcompensate to much quieter, to the point where putting system volume up to full isn't even loud enough.
