I have downloaded and saved many episodes and I always add any episode that I download to my completed playlist. When I first started everything matched. But now there is a difference of 53 between my episodes and the episodes in my playlist. Is that a glitch or are those episodes deleted?

Hey @Aminaabee,
Thanks for reaching out.
It's indeed possible that some of the episodes were removed but are still being counted in the Completed. playlist. Can you go through it and check for any grayed-out titles?
You can also try some basic troubleshooting steps like logging out and back in a couple of times, clean reinstalling the app or checking how it looks on another device.
Keep us posted.
Hi @MihailY,
There are not grayed-out titles. It only shows 905 episodes when I go to add it to my playlist from my episodes. When I check the hours on my episodes and any my playlist it’s the same. I also tried logging in from the desktop app. It shows 852 episodes in both my episodes and my playlist.
If I uninstall the app all my downloads will be gone right?
Thanks for the response @Aminaabee.
If the number of episodes matches in the desktop app then there may be some corrupted cache on your phone which is causing this issue. In this situation it's worth performing the clean reinstall as @MihailY suggested.
It's correct that you'd have to re-download your content after the reinstall and we understand that it's not ideal, but this step often helps resolve such issues with Spotify's behavior.
Let us know how it goes.
Hi Ivelina,
Does that mean that actually there are 852 episodes and not 905 episodes. Because it shows 905 from my phone only.
Hey there @Aminaabee,
Thanks for your reply.
To answer your question, yes, as mentioned before, most likely some of the episodes were removed from the app and the actual count is 852. Since you mentioned you noticed this behavior only on your phone, we're keen to believe this is happening due to the app stored cache.
At this point, clearing the cache might help you see the actual count on Your Episodes folder. If you prefer, you can clear the cache of the app by following these steps. After that, you can soft restart your device. This process might help delete it without completely reinstalling the app.
If the above doesn't do the trick, the best way to go would be the clean reinstallation of Spotify on the affected device. We understand this is not ideal as it removes your downloaded content, but as mentioned before, it does help solve most common issues. So! Give it a try and let us know how it goes.
Keep us in the loop!
Hi @AlejaR
I already tried clearing the cache. It did not work.
One more thing before I do a clean re installation. As it removes all my downloads, would all the episodes still be in my episodes after I re install the app or would it be removed?
Hey @Aminaabee,
Thanks for the question.
After the reinstall, you'd have to re-download your content, however, the podcast episodes should remain in Your Episodes.
Don't hesitate to let us know if you've got any other questions.
