How do I export my playlists?

Solved!

How do I export my playlists?

The new spotify UI looks like a miserable experience, so I'd like to export my playlists so that I can take them with me to a music-focused app and cancel my premium subscription. How do I this? I've looked in both the desktop and mobile apps and haven't found the option.

Hi @NotMyName

On your Spotify account page, you can request a copy of your personal data. One of these options includes your playlist data.

According to this support page,

You will receive these files in JSON format.

Playlist data includes:

  1. Name of playlist.
  2. Date the playlist was last modified.
  3. Names of songs contained within the playlist.
  4. Names of artists for each song.
  5. Names of albums or episodes (if podcasts).
  6. Local track name, if the user uploaded locally saved audio to be played on Spotify service.
  7. Any descriptions added by the user to the playlist.
  8. The number of followers the playlist has.

Hope this helps!

This is very convoluted and slow... see my reply below, it is a 30 seconds process to get the playlist.

Awesome. I'll be leaving this site as well. After being a loyal premium sub for years... I just see no added value (or any value at all anymore) in maintaining my sub after the price increase.

what a joke this is hahahahahahaha! **bleep**...

requesting details and deleting account, obviously...
