My Question or Issue
Hi everyone!
I am completely new to Spotify, installed it an hour ago without any previous experience. For the past 25 years I have been listening to music like this: I have a folder on my PC titled "Music" with .mp3 files that I was playing using Winamp (yes, I know, I'm a dinosaur). I would like to transfer my entire library and music listening over to Spotify, because I like all the cool features like lyrics, recommended, sorting, etc.
So, here is the problem. I am aware of the feature "Local Files" - I select my folder, but it loads only 3,169 tracks of 3,325 .mp3 files. I bet it is impossible to go 1 by 1 and see which files were not loaded.
The second problem I have is that items in Local Files are not, so to speak, "linked" to Spotify library. In other words, there are no options for album, lyrics, recommended, etc. Spotify operates simply as media player.
TL;DR: What I would like to do is somehow scan my music folder and find those songs in Spotify to create a single playlist that will then function as any other playlist created in Spotify.
Note: I am aware that not every song could be found on Spotify, but those that are not I would then add regularly as Local Files.
Is it possible?
