How to avoid playing same songs again

Hello. 

How do I avoid playing the same song again when selecting songs manually?

Here is the case:

I select song1 manually. Spotify plays it and than plays song2 automatically.

I select song3 manually. Spotify plays it and than plays song2 again, because it's similar to my selection again.

Is there something like don't play the same song for 24 hours in the settings? Or how can I avoid listening to the same songs over and over?

Thanks for reaching out here in the Community. 

Just to confirm, have you already made sure that your Play Queue is empty? 

If that doesn't do the trick, could you confirm the make, model, OS version and the Spotify version currently running on the affected device? 

It'd also be helpful if you could attach a video/screen recording where we can take a better look at what's happening. You could upload it to Google Drive as well and send a link to it if you prefer (with the relevant permissions for us to be able to watch it).
