How to exclude a playlist from the new like system?

How to exclude a playlist from the new like system?

I made a playlist before the new liking system was implemented, full of 1000+ songs that i want to give a listen to but maybe haven't had the time to.
What I used to do was put it on shuffle during a listening session, like the songs I liked, then afterwards I would remove the songs I liked from the playlist - using the hearts as a guide.

I haven't been able to use this playlist lately because every song on it has a green mark next to it. This playlist is also interfering with my ability to tell in general whether I have a song liked or if its just on a playlist - is there a way to exclude a playlist from this system or will I just have to delete it?

Hi there @domathanguy,

Welcome to the Spotify Community!

That's an awesome way to explore new music! At the moment though, it's not possible to prevent a playlist from showing the green checkmarks next to songs already saved in Your Library, I'm afraid 😞

For the time being, a workaround would be removing the songs you enjoyed from the playlist directly after saving them to your Liked Songs. You'll find more info on how to jump to the currently playing song's position in the playlist in this reply.

We’re constantly looking for opportunities to enhance the user experience for everyone and your feedback on this is greatly appreciated. In the meantime, make sure you're always running the latest version of Spotify so you don't miss out on any updates.

The Community is here if there's anything else you need assistance with.

Cheers 💚 🤘
