I am unable to add local files songs to just one specific playlist

I am unable to add local files songs to just one specific playlist

In just one specific playlist I try to add a local files songs, it says it has been added but when I look into the playlist the song is not there. The same songs I am able to add into other playlists but not in this one playlist and idk why.

Hi @Doctorwhat,

Thanks for reaching out.

This is quite strange. A likely explanation is that these songs were once added to that playlist, but from a different device. So now they don't appear, but are still present. Make sure that unavailable songs are visible from the settings and try looking through the playlist to see if you can find them.

Alternatively, try testing if adding the local files works on a newly created playlist. If there are no issues there, a possible workaround would be to create a brand new identical playlist to replace the old one.

Hope this helps.

Yeah I have this exact problem as well; it says they’re added, but when I check the playlist and the song itself again, they’re not in the playlist

Hey @Stanvan8,

Thanks for posting in the thread.

First I suggest making sure that Smart Shuffle is disabled.

Could you let us know if you've performed any troubleshooting steps so far and does this happen across devices? Is it a specific playlist where the local files don't appear or multiple ones and have you tested with creating a new playlist?

Keep in mind that you have to physically have the local files stored on the device you'd like to access them from and you can also take a look at this FAQ article to make sure you've synced them correctly.

Cheers!
