Navigation mouse buttons interact with UI

My Question or Issue

Using the navigation buttons (browser back, browser forward) on the mouse while hovering over certain UI elements does... things. For example, hovering over the dividers to resize the different UI windows and then pressing one of the two buttons toggles the resize mode on until one of the other 3 buttons is pressed. It generally seems to do whatever is achieved by pressing and holding down the primary mouse button otherwise.

P.S.: The secondary mouse button also interacts with some UI elements in a similar manner. Interestingly, pressing browser-back (or forward) over buttons leaves them in the depressed animation state until I move the mouse, while the same effect only lasts until the next UI update when pressing the secondary mouse button.

For what you share, you believe you have a mouse with multiple buttons that perform specific actions. 

If that's the case, Spotify isn't built with custom mouse buttons in mind, so there could be some odd behavior depending on the exact commands executed by the mouse buttons. Overall, navigation with these buttons isn't supported for now.
