My Question or Issue

I can no longer see or select the option to store local files on my SD card, also for some reason the app keeps forcing high quality for cellular streaming and keeps forcing the auto setting.

Seems like Spotify just want to waste all my data...

It would be really nice to have the ability to save to my SD card back as network coverage is pretty spotty around here anyway and it's making the app less attractive to use

Spotify has permission to access local storage.

Any guidance would be most welcome.

Good day @Sociopathicllama , thanks for reaching out.

The android app does give the user the option to choose default storage location for downloads.

This means it's most likely issues with the SD card not being read and it can be dealt with.

(Thanks for the screenshot btw)

Could you remove the SD card, restart your device and then replace it.

After phone restarts, head over to phone settings to make sure the phone can read the SD Card.

Then you can try changing the storage location on Spotify.

I hope that's helpful but even if the issue persists, you can get back to me so we work together to see the way forward.

Take care
