My Question or Issue

Hello, I have a problem that is not new. I've had it before, but I didn't tell you, but now I see that it's still not resolved.

If we take the example of the artist "Bob Marley & The Wailers", if we go to discography, then to album, then to "show all", we notice that in 1977, no album is listed, whereas that's the year when one of the best-known albums, "Exodus", was released.

However, 5 of the 10 most popular tracks on the "Bob Marley & The Wailers" home page are from this album.

This album can be accessed by clicking on one of these tracks and clicking on "access album", or in Spotify's global search.

This is rather frustrating, as without going through the global search and therefore through a non-specific filtering of albums by a particular artist, you can't be sure of having listened to all an artist's albums.

I hope this problem can be solved soon.

Thank you in advance for processing my request.

I'm also experiencing this. The 25th anniversary edition of Badmotorfinger by Soundgarden isn't available through their discography, but I can find a song from that album in their top five songs, and then access it using the same method mentioned. So, clearly the album exists on Spotify, it's just not available where it should be.

Hey @lebmartin01,

Thanks for posting!

You can find all of the different album releases such as the remastered versions for example, by opening the selected album from the artist's Discography, scrolling down to the end of the songs then if other versions are available, there should be a button on the right - 1 more release. Click it to reveal the others.

Hope this helps 🙂

This didn't help, and there is no "1 more release" option available. There are just albums not showing up in an artist's discography even though the album can be accessed by find a song from that album in the artist's top songs or searching for the songs on that album.

Hey @lebmartin01,

In that case it's possible that the artist or their label has unlisted the album from the artist page. This may be done for tracking purposes. For more information on the matter it's worth reaching out to the artist or their label on social media or their website.
