My Question or Issue

I thought it was my problem at first, but this is going since months and months so I suppose I have to ask here if this is normal behavior.

I downloaded all of the music that I wanted to keep in order to use Spotify in online mode when I'm out and don't use my data, but the offline mode seems impossible to use.

First of all: even if I downloaded a lot of different album from different artist, when I go through My Library -> Downloaded -> Albums, there's just a few of them. Most of the artists that I downloaded are just not there.

But the main problem is this one (I would never use the Album feature that I said above, but I realized is the only way to listen to a specific album from an artist because of the problem that I'm going to say now): My Library -> Downloaded -> Artists -> I choose an artist that I want to hear and Spotify shows a list of the songs that I've downloaded instead of the artists page with the downloaded albums and song etc. Not just this, but the list of the songs is completely wrong. There are just around 20 songs in total that repeat themselves again and again and again...but if I play one of the song and then I open the queue, it'll show ALMOST every album and song that I downloaded.

It seems like the page of the artist with the downloaded songs and albums, as it should be, shows only for smaller artist or for those for which I downloaded just a few songs and not dozens and dozens of songs.

I recorded a video of this and I will upload it so you can see:

I open Model/Actriz and it shows the artist page in which I can open "Liked songs" and it shows the albums that I dowbloaded, as it should be, great.

Then I open Muse and it shows a list of songs that repeat themselves completely messed up. Then I play one of the song, open the queue and there it shows more songs.

Let me know if this is a known issue and if there's any fix.

Thank you very much everyone!

Hey there @nicocencini,

Thanks for reaching out! And kudos for all the details you've included 🙂

We've tried to replicate the behavior you're describing from our end on multiple devices, however, we're afraid we haven't been able to. And as we haven't seen other reports on this, it's possible that it's related to the current setup, which means we can't give a specific timeframe for if or when this issue will be fixed.

We recommend keeping the app up-to-date, to get fixes and features as soon as they're released. It's also worth clearing stored cache from time to time - this could help with the app performance.

In the meantime, as a workaround, we can suggest adding the tracks or albums from the artists you're experiencing issues with to playlists instead, which you can then download. You can add multiple albums to one playlist, as an example.

We're just a post away if anything else pops up!

Sorry but what kind of workaround is that? lol

I should spend hours adding every single track to different playlists renaming them with the name of the albums etc and then those track won't even show up in the artist page or the albums page in my library....sorry to say this but it's like the worst idea ever.

Crazy that this app keeps asking for more money every 6 months but keep getting worse. I keep the app up to date, and that's probably the main problem...every update, it gets worse and worse with major issues. This app keep adding adv, pushing artists that will show in your first page even if you never listened those kind of s****y music, but then it doesn't work offline with the downloaded music in your device...a music app in which the music doesn't work, but just focusing on advertisting the most important artists out there....what a scam.

I know is not your fault Maria...but this is getting more and more embarassing every day
