Cannot Remove Playlist from Profile

Cannot Remove Playlist from Profile

Currently on Spotify Web. Every time I create a new playlist, I cannot remove it from my profile. No matter how many times I click "Private" or "Remove from profile" it still stays there. I don't know what to do.

Hey @kiranobz,

 

Thanks for the reply! It may be best to log out/log back into the Web Player and let me know if that makes a difference. You can also try a different browser or private window while Spotify.

 

If you’re still having issues, please try to download the Spotify app on Desktop and try to change your playlist settings on a different device (like mobile).

Can you let me know if this happens when you use the Spotify app on Desktop, if possible? You can follow these steps to ensure you’re locating the right setting. If that doesn’t work, let me know the make and model of your device - we’ll go from there.

I'm using the Spotify website on Firefox. I don't know if it matters but I'm also using a Microsoft 11 Windows Pro DELL laptop...

I've a similar problem. I'm trying to remove the playlist from my profile, but it still stays there. It's like this feature or button doesn't work anymore. it's so annoying. I'm using the web version of app.

I’m sorry to hear that. Can you try following these steps to remove the playlist from your profile? If you’re unable to still, can you share a screen recording of what happens when you attempt to remove it? Make sure to hide sensitive info when posting to the Community. 

 

It will also be best to share with me the make and model of the device you’re experiencing this on.

I recorded a video of the playlist being removed from my profile. I remove and reload the page, but the playlist still remains.

Exact same thing happening to me, just like in this recording. It just stays there...

We were also able to reproduce the issue on our end and have reported it to our tech folks for further investigation. We'll let you know once we get an update.

Why hasn't this bug been fixed yet?

ive now run into this issue too! its gotten kinda annoying...

I will keep reminding you about this bug until the developers deign to fix it. What the **bleep**, sure.

My Question or Issue

The issue is simple, I go to take three playlists off my profile, I notice that the button to "Remove Playlist from Profile" is back, despite me having clicked it only 30 seconds earlier. Repeat for about 17 more times, head to profile to try and remove it there. Still nothing, use the separate desktop app to remove it, works. Try to add it back on web browser, works, try to remove it? Doesn't work. Basically you might want to check the web browser for that.

Can confirm for you all, Still happening to me too. Hopefully they fix it soon, or so help me I'm going to set a goose upon the offices. (not serious)
