My Question or Issue

Since yesterday evening, I get the same issue. I start a playlist and suddenly after playing 2 or 3 songs, Spotify starts playing another song out of nowhere. Sometimes, it starts in the middle of song without any reason. It happened more than 10 times on my mobile phone, my computer or with the web app. I checked if any other device was connected but it's not the case.

Is someone having the same issue ?

Thanks 🙂

Hi @damsDo,

Thanks for the reply and the info.

Glad to hear everything works fine now.

This looks like someone else with access to your account is playing music on it. We'd recommend following all the steps from this article and making sure that you're not logged in on any device you don't recognize. It's also a good move to change the password on your email address.

Hope this helps. Don't hesitate to reach out again if the issue is back.

Cheers.

Hey there @damsDo,

Thank you for your post here in the Community. We're happy ro help.

In this case we suggest that you perform a clean reinstall of the app. This will make sure there's no old cache files causing this.

If you have an SD card we suggest that you uninstall the app > turn off your phone > take out your SD card > turn on the phone again (without the SD card) > reinstall the app.

Let us know how everything goes so that we can continue assist you if you need us to. We're always one reply away 🙂

Cheers!

Live, love, laugh and listen to music 🙂

Hi Jeremy,
Thank you for your answer. Spotify is now working properly. I get this problem for 24 hours.
I didn't do anything to fix this (except changing my password and disconnecting from each app, but I don't think this solves something. The problem still appeared after it.).
This problem happened on many devices when they were connected alone (with no other devices connected) : Android Phone, Mac os x & web player (Chrome Browser). When I started a playlist, after some minutes, Spotify stop my playlist and start to play another playlist. This is the playlists I was redirected to :
https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3C9OLdLZQDWlZjBt8H5uhn?si=zH-PGKubRKKRYQDNDRb0iQ
https://open.spotify.com/playlist/2v5sLIGXv6b9STyJGAJAOs?si=4kMPc7U-SBCytJB5EblhnQ
https://open.spotify.com/playlist/33bNIUKcxSXU6g7eJ4CvVk?si=eCmNc9sCQOe06kE7ydhaDw
https://open.spotify.com/playlist/5I15Ob1PTlmxEW0p5gpTO1?si=OwlDbgvpRs-CLlL5VUL7OQ

I found an example of what looks like the same bug on reddit :

https://www.reddit.com/r/spotify/comments/gmvto7/help_random_songs_interrupt_my_playlist_songs_and/

Before this, I have never listen to these playlists.
For me it looks ok now. I don't get this problem again for the last 48 hours. But, may be this will help.
Cheers,
Damien
