Playlistfolders not synced correctly

I've been using spotify for years now. With all of the playlist that I want to keep around, I was very happy that folders could be made to organize them better. 

However, after organizing them on my laptop, I've noticed that folders and playlist are not organized correctly on my phone (all of them are there tho). 


So two main issues:

- Folders are sometimes within other folders and I didn't put them there

- Playlist are showing up in the wrong folders

It's worth mentioning that on my computer it stays the right way, but not on my phone. 

 

This is what I've tried so far:

- Updating spotify app on phone

- Reïnstalling spotify app on phone

 

Sidenote: changing the picture of an already existing playlist doesn't always get saved. Pretty annoying to do it 5 times in a row and notice that the old picture keeps popping up.

 

Well, hope someone can help me.

Thank you for reaching out here in the Community!

 

 

To make the order on your mobile reflect the one form your desktop:

  • go to your Library, 
  • go to the list you’d like to filter (t.ex. Playlists), 
  • pull the screen down, 
  • choose Filter, 
  • choose Custom order.

Now the order should be the same as on your desktop.

If the folders are still not displayed correctly and since the regular reinstall was not helpful, I'd recommend performing clean reinstall of your Spotify app. Just find your device in this article and follow the steps provided there. Make sure to delete all folders on SD card as well, if you have one in your phone. 

 

When it comes to the playlist images, sometimes it might take some time before the changes are displayed. I'd recommend waiting a bit after changing/adding the cover, so it can update.
